Welcome to the Rattler Baseball Family 2017! We are so happy that you decided to come tryout for our team! For this semester there will be three coaches, Coach x, Pitching, Coach Barnett Fielding, and Coach X Batting. We have all come from baseball backgrounds and have coached for a combined 10 years. We would like to offer insight into our playing days to better fit you!

• Coach Barnett: Four years at San Marcos High school, three years on varsity, starting catcher, back up right fielder, .315 batting average throughout my career. Three years as assistant coach at San Marcos high school. I will be teaching fielding as well as an assistant on varsity.

Try-outs will be conducted at the start of the season. Players will be rated by the coaching staff on a series of baseball related skills. (NO seniors on junior varsity.) V. Academics A. San Marcos High School Baseball considers grades to be of the utmost importance. If a situation arises that is not covered in these policies, the coaching staff will deal with it appropriately.
VIII: Inherent risks and precautions:
1. Make certain that you wear all equipment that is issued by the coach. Advise the coach of any poorly fitted or defective equipment. 2. Advise the coach if you are ill or have any prolonged symptoms of an illness.
3. Advise the coach if you have been injured 4. Engage in warm-up activities prior to strenuous participation.
5. Be alert for any physical hazards in the locker room or in or around the participation area. Advise coach of any hazard.
6. Recognize your surroundings; i.e., batters warming up, thrown bats, batted or thrown balls, on deck circle (one person at a time).
7. Use hard hats while batting/running bases/hitting in batting cages.
8. Familiarize yourself with surroundings and grounds; i.e., fences, field conditions such as holes, lips on infield edges, etc. when playing on away
