A Big Dreamer In this world there are many kinds of persons, good, ambitious, mean, and others more. In the book Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton, the reader is able to observe different kinds of persons. One of them is the important figure John Hammond, a rich and old man who is obsessed with dinosaurs. (Hammond is man with many of these personalities.) Hammond main personality is that he is a big dreamer. Hammond had a dream, that dream was to recreate dinosaurs, however in order to do such a thing he needed many specialists and experts. Being the owner of InGen and having many sponsors from other countries, he is able to make his dream come true. When Ian Malcolm visits the park he does not stop judging the park and saying bad but at the same time true things about the park, ¨You were worried about losing animals, and your procedures were designed to advise you instantly if you had less than the expected number. But that wasn’t the problem, the problem was, you had more than the expected number¨(pg 165.) Malcolm is ¨attacking¨ Hammond every time he has a chance, even when he was almost dying. Ian Malcolm use Chaos Theory to explain how he thinks there is something wrong with Jurassic Park. ¨And now chaos theory proves that unpredictability is built into our daily lives. It is as mundane as the rainstorm we cannot predict.¨ (pg 312.) Malcolm was very negative about the island, especially after he was attacked by the dinosaur in the park. Hammond ignored many times what Malcolm was telling and warning him about, even when his park is collapsing. Malcolm even called HAmmond idiot because he believed that he could destroy the world. Also Ian told Hammond that Jurassic Park is not a normal zoo, after he tried to compare it to a normal zoo.
