Michael Jordan: NBA's Best Basketball Player in History
On February 17, 1963, Michael Jordan was in Brooklyn, New York, and later moved to Wilmington, North Carolina. ("Michael Jordan," sec. 1) Growing up in Wilmington, he was very competitive and was passionate about winning every game he played, games like basketball. (Biography.com Editors, par. 4) He enrolled at the University at Chapel Hill in 1981 and was an important member of the North Carolina basketball team and was so good that he was selected as the NCAA Player of the Year in both 1983 and in 1984. Jordan was a part of the ‘Dream Team’ in the 1984 Olympics along with Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. They won gold.
