Eight percent. That is the amount that the career of teaching is expected to grow from 2016 to 2026 (Summary). Over the next ten years or so, there is an expected rise in the number of enrolled students, ultimately opening up more positions for teachers. Opportunities for these teachers is going to be endless as there will be a high demand in all school settings. Although there is an expected student rise, the state and government would need to have money in their budget to allow more people to join the profession of teaching. With the concern of the budget for future teachers there is also the possibility for the state to gain more money, leading to additional employment growth for middle school teachers. However, with many teachers soon reaching retirement age, there may also be a dramatic increase in job opportunities for those graduating from college, as the older teachers jobs will need to be replaced. In summary, there will be a need for teachers over the next several years, and as long as there is money that the government has in the budget, there will be an increase in the job opportunities for those who are hoping to secure a job in this profession. “Middle school teachers held about 630,300 jobs in 2016”(Summary). Flexibility is the utmost important thing that a teacher must be, because there are always announcements, assemblies and changes to the set schedules. As new kids come into your classroom every year, you must also be flexible with the way that you teach because every student learns differently from the ones that you previously had. Patience, adaptability, imagination, teamwork and leadership are also some important skills and abilities that one must have. There can be many hardships to come the way of a teacher, and you must be prepared for anything that you are faced
