Mindtap Reflective Essay

It has been my experience taking online courses that utilizing a program such as MindTap to support the textbook and professor’s instruction to be extremely beneficial. MindTap is a useful tool that reinforces the textbook with homework exercises and provides services to the student such as Net Tutor and Questia. I found using MindTap easy to use and navigate, all of the components are well labeled. The majority of the time learning a subject can be difficult without the use of visual examples. I especially liked the fact that a full copy of the textbook was available within the MindTap program and accessible at any time.
Within the MindTap program each chapter of the textbook is broken down with learning objectives, engaging exercises, the chapter expanded including videos, and homework exercises that reinforce on the object of the chapter. Within the homework exercises the objectives of the chapter are reinforced with informative content …show more content…

The Net Tutor service is extremely beneficial for review of essays before final submission. I found the suggestions for revisions I received to be very informative and assisted me in making changes I may have missed. The resource I wish I had discovered sooner is Questia. Questia is an online library and research paper resource also within the MindTap program. Questia has tools for planning a paper, assists with conducting the research, and evaluating the sources you choose to use. I found the thesis helper in Questia to be especially beneficial.
In conclusion, I found the overall experience with MindTap to be very easy to use and well organized. MindTap is a useful tool that reinforces the textbook with homework exercises and provides services to the student such as Net Tutor and Questia.
