The name of the novel is the possibility of evil and author of the story is Shirley Jackson. The character’s name is Miss Strangeworth. She is 71 years old, she lives on Pleasant Stree, she is a respectful woman, calls the town and people “hers”, her generation has been living in the town for over 100 years. She thinks she protects the town. The three traits that will expand on the body paragraphs are; how Miss Strangeworth is a selfish woman, she creates the evil in the town and tends to judge people by their covers. The narrator thinks Miss Strangeworth is a selfish woman. Something that proof that Miss Strangeworth is selfish, It’s the fact that she never gave away any of her rose because it bothered her to think of people wanting to carry them away, to take them into strange towns and down strange streets(Prezi). Miss Strangeworth never concerned herself with facts. She believes that the town should revolve around her family because technically they started it. She did that in order to show the people in the town how she really feels about them. In a way, the letters become evil because they were harsh.
