1 Introduction
A 2012 study confirmed what many parents know well wandering by children is common especially when they are active, dangerous and puts tremendous stress on families. It is taken as a responsibility of a caretaker of a parent to take care of their children from harm and danger, to avoid them from any unnecessary circumferences that may cause unwanted situation to happen. Early precaution step must be taken in order to prevent unwanted scenarios to occur. Missing Involuntary, lost, or Injured is one of the categories or focused scope of missing children. A child’s whereabouts are unknown to the caretaker, which causes the caretaker to become alarmed for at least one hour while trying to locate the child under one of two conditions, the child is trying to get home and contacts the caretaker, but is unable to do so because the child is either lost, stranded, or injured; or the child is too young to know how to return home or contact the caregiver. Another scope for missing is missing benign explanation. A child’s whereabouts are unknown to the caretaker, which causes the caretaker to be alarmed, try to find the child, and call the police about the situation for any reason, as long as the child is safe. Other categories of missing child are abduction which divides into two: family- abduction and non-family abduction. Non-family Abduction is when a non-family member takes a child parental permission and taken by physical force or keeps a child by force in an isolated location and conceals the child’s whereabouts for at least an hour. While Family Abduction: A member of the child’s family or someone acting on behalf of a family member violates a custody order, by taking child and conceals child out of state with the intent of preventing contact from the caretaker permanently. The last categories would be runaway or thrown away child which is the most common cases in missing child category in Malaysia. A thrown away child is one who is asked or told to leave the home by a parent. A runaway is a child who either leaves home or
