The company I chose for this assignment is Edible arrangements. This company headquarters is located in Wallingford Connecticut. Their mission statement is simple “To WOW you”. We provide a wide variety and assortment of fresh fruit baskets for any events, occasions or everyday enjoyment. If the previous manager developed an advertising campaign before the marketing strategy it is possible that they will not have set goals and objective. They need to know their target market, who their competition and what strategy they will use to real in new customers and keep existing customers. We need to know the value proposition on how will we tell the market about our product, what makes it unique and why buy from our company rather than our competitors. We also need to apply the 4p marketing mix principles. What will be the price of our products, how will the products be distributed; are we going to deliver or customer have to pick up? What kind of promotion will we perform and is it going to be seasonal for example valentine, …show more content…

To accomplish this we will use social media and our website and flyers to get the words out. We will spread word of mouth also have coupons and introduce a rewards and loyalty programs. If a customer refer a friend they can get 10 dollars off their next order.
I think the previous goals are relevant to the business and will help with the over plans for the business. I think it will benefit the company finically and economically. The goals are aligned with the company goals like capturing and keeping their customers.
Timeliness is another important smart goals. Rather than make a generalize statement that we want to maximize profit, we can say we want to make $5,000 this weekend and we will have 200 orders at the begin with on Saturday 12th. That way employees may be more motivated to reach this goal because of the we have a targeted date and time.
