I had my mock interview on October 21, at 9:30 A.M... Before walking in the career service build, I was very nervous because I never been on a professional interview. I was more nervous shaking Mrs. Amy hand then answering the question because that was the number one thing people were telling me. They said, “Make sure you shake her hand with a firm handshake.” So, I walk in with a smile on my face, trying not to show how nervous I was. The Secretary told me to take a site and Mrs. Amy will be with you in a moment. So, once Mrs. Amy called my name, we went to her office. She asks, “ good morning, how are you , I told her “good”, then she asks me “did I enjoyed the dinner last night”, (because the night before was the etiquette dinner) I said, “yes, I really did enjoy myself.” …show more content…

So, the first question she asks me was “describe yourself.” I felt confident about this question because we went over this question a lot in class. As she continues asking questions, I didn’t feel as nervous. By the end of the interview, I was feeling good about how I answer the questions. At the end, Mrs. Amy told me what I need to work on. She said, “Make sure you go in more depth with your answer.” Also, provide more example with your answer, to highlight your skills.
Overall. I think I did a good job. I love how she asked me the “small questions” at the beginning of the interview. For example, what your major, what are your plans after graduate etc. By doing this, it made me less nervous and more comfortable to have a one-on-one conversation with her. This is a great way to practice your interview skills before you land a possible interview. I feel like this was a great learning experience for me. By doing this, it allows me to know what I need to work on. By doing the mock interview, I feel like I’m better prepare for an interview in the near
