Before the Model T, normal car production lines involved workers moving down the line to finish the product. During the time of the Model T three worker proposed the idea which would change the production line for ever. The idea was instead of the workers moving, the line moves and the workers stay in the same spot. Each worker doing their own job several times repeatedly. This changed the way cars were produced as they were getting produced at half the time it would normally take.
The Model T also introduced interchangeable parts. Basically any part in a Model A for example would fit on a Model T and vis Vera. This allowed for parts to easily be fitted without having parts mixed up, along with some customization. The Model T is the single most important object to have changed America in the production history. Because additive production is so accurate they can make smaller parts much smaller and make what would be several parts combine into one part. It would not be long before this way of production kicks off and appears in almost every production factory. All its waiting on is for the process to be quicker and to be able to make multiply products at once rather than one product after another.
Unlike mass production, additive production requires a lot less labor which in the long run can easily save business thousands. Mass production on the other hand has the ability to produce more of the same product quicker, additive production can easily make one product quicker than mass could but they can make more in the same amount of time. This is where additive production is lacking, if they were able to make more products in a time period it would be a more favored way of
