DIVERSIFICATION • By tapping in to schools and universities will be a concentric diversification as they are related businesses. Key Issues • Based on Meso’s poor financial performance, IT solutions, telecoms and rental of Multi-function Printer (MFP) seem not to penetrate the market and competitors (BCX, Datacentrix, Gijima, Liquid Telecoms and EOH Networks) have leveraged on this proposition. • The brand does not effectively penetrate the target market audience as evidenced by the limited media choices to advertise. • Meso has only identified two market segments i.e municipalities and government and this has subsequently limited the brand from reaching other potential consumers. • Several contract that Meso have with the municipalities and Government ends without renewals and as a result, Meso’s Group turnover for FYE 2014 declined by 47.80%. This is an indication that Meso lacks IT solutions that are differentiated to generate revenue and to enable customer centricity. New
