When arriving to Paris, Mondrian lived in a studio lent by his friend near the Montparnasse Rail Station by painter Conrad. It was while in Paris in 1911-14 it was in the middle of the artistic revolution and the artistic talent influencing him and the central to this all was the Cubist movement. Before this he submitted a painting ‘Sun’ to Salon des Independent and in Holland had the pointillist Fauve techniques and eventually with an exhibition in 1911 it gave an insight into Mondrians knowledge in French paintings before his arrival to his studio. While keeping his Evolution background with this new Cubist influence it helped develop new techniques with new images such as Nude.
