The movie poster: The Nun Using particular words, colors, and images to set a specific meaning is visual rhetoric. Movie posters are an example of visual rhetoric since posters most of the time have all these characteristics. The title of the movie poster is “the Nun” and its release date is July 13, 2018. There are several different colors on the poster such as: Black, blue, red, yellow, off white, and gray. These neutral tones and the red pop of blood gives the poster a very creepy illusion. The title is properly displayed because it has a curved creative font with connecting letters; consequently, it appears as a creepy visual rhetoric. The movie poster is an excellent example of a visual rhetoric; therefore, it displays the horrifying story with a picture by using words, various colors, and leaves the audience wondering more about the meaning behind the physical film poster.

It is a horror movie due to the dark house with older looking windows and the center has the nun with bloody hands.
