On 3/29/2016 I spoke with Leahanne Garcia at the operation. Leahanne stated she has been employed at the operation since May 2015 as a Teacher assistant. Leahanne stated on Wednesday (3/23) that the children had just woken up from nap and Andi was leading circle time, while she was moving the block center shelf back to its position. She stated the children had started to get up from the rug for center time when she heard Andi yelling "get up, get up" and was yanking Isiah up by his arm. Andi then started telling him "you will listen to me" while pointing a finger in his face.
An announced inspection was conducted 10/20/2105. Ora Melissa Brown was found to be in charge at arrival. The purpose of the inspection and the subchapters that would be evaluated were explained to Ms. Brown.
In the five years as principal, her school met exceptional growth in the areas of reading and math. When asked how the school had progressed with her as principal, she said, “I created professional learning communities to focus on student learning and differentiated instruction.” After much success as a principal at Sunland Park, she was offered a principal position at Anthony Elementary. Anthony Elementary had not met AYP standards for three consecutive years. When Ms.Perez got to Anthony Elementary, the teachers had many excuses as to why Anthony Elementary was not meeting the AYP standards.
Kewaunas success Kewauna used perseverance, passion, and will to succeed in her college classes. Firstly used perseverance to master her difficult biology vocabulary. For example Paul Tough, author of how children succeed, points out that Kewauna met with her professor to get extra help on her tough biology terms. Thus, by getting extra help, Kewauna persevered. Secondly Kewauna was passionate about her studies.
Such perseverance is then seen throughout the novel as she is faced with the unpredictability of life. As readers are taken through Maya’s life, they second handly experience the unpredictability of it through the negligence her and her brother face by their guardians, along with molestation, and racism within schools. “I’d learned early on that I had to be as disciplined about finding time to finish homework as I was about training in the gym.” Shawn had her homework done a month ahead of time to be able to train at the gym after school. Sometimes she would have a little bit of other homework that she would have to do after practices at night. Fitting in at school was not an easy thing for her to do, she stated to herself and got her work done so she could train after school with her friends. Her parents always wanted her to be in school activities, so sometimes Shawn would be picked up from practice to go to football games.

As I come to a close on my essay, I say that we should stop the conversations in between a lesson and just pay attention until the teacher is finish teaching. Everyday, she excels in her job of caring for the children and making a difference in the community. Due to her kindness she would always bring thoughtful gifts for the children. She doesn 't have to do the classes with the children everyday but she continues to do it like Sylvia says “school supposed to let out in the summer I heard, but she dont never let up” (Bambara 96). The lessons learned while earning her degree has lead her to becoming a positive role model in the children 's lives; nonetheless, teaching them lessons that may never learn from others. She shows her passion in the story by saying “she said, it was only her right that she take responsibility for the young ones’ education.
There was a bunch of challenges that Aimee Mullins faced but one of them was her teacher. The teacher tries to stop Aimee from returning to class by saying that she would be a distraction to the other students in the class. She urges the educators to believe in forming relationships with their students to boost their academic achievements, as well as their self esteem. She later gives her audience the ultimatum of they can either choose to form connections with their students or not. OVERVIEW The elementary school that I observed at, Orchard View Elementary, was located in Delray Beach, FL. The location was very accessible and right off of the highway. The teacher I got assigned to was Ms. Diann Johnson. She teaches a class for students in 3rd-5th grade.
However, she struggled with discrimination during her college years, since she attendended to a university where the majority of people came from upper castes. Despite feeling miserable when hearing all the disrespectful comments her classmates would say about her, she continued studying hard and trying her very best to succeed in all of her classes. This is a perfect example of perseverance because even though she suffered from the discrimination, instead of simply quitting the course and becoming something else, she decided to turn her suffering into her fuel, her pain into her motivation. In addition to that, even though at times she felt discouraged and out of place, she didn 't allow the difficulties she encountered on her journey to stop her from chasing her dreams. In the end, all her sacrifices were worth it, since she managed to become a lawyer and was offered a job almost immediately after graduating.
Classroom Observations Mrs. Canada is the first grade teacher that I observed, and the subject that she was teaching was reading. She had planned well-organized power points and crafting materials in advance, so she was prepared for the lesson. The two times I observed, the lesson that was being taught at both times was reading. Children in the classroom used a lot of previous knowledge for the lesson.
