The organizational culture of Munters is shaped by a joint effort between the management team and the sales representatives. The vision and mission of Munters is important in day-to-day operations, because the industry is always changing. There are always news laws and regulations that alter the way farmers can manage and raise livestock. In recent years, large egg-laying operations have been forced to go from caged chickens to a cage-free environment. This was based heavily on consumer demand, and the industry is now seeing a struggle because of the influx of cage-free eggs. The agricultural branch of Munters saw extreme growth and now the sights are set even higher. Customer support and acquisition has always been the greatest goal. The support being the most important, because the sales aren’t nearly as valuable without a consistent relationship. Plant production and having the capability to keep lead-times low is also extremely important. When a customer needs ventilation equipment and we cannot provide it in a timely, efficient manner, Munters can lose sales to other companies if they have the inventory. The plant management team is always in constant communication with the office and sales team, and work together to forecast expectations regarding product demand. Working together and the willingness to take input from various channels has certainly created a positive mood and environment for everyone in the company. It is better to take input from those in the field, rather than implementing solutions because they look good on paper. The agricultural branch of Munters has an extremely low turnover rate because of this environment. Workers tend to get into the company early in their careers and Munters makes it a desirable place of work through rewards and effective communication. The Munters management team does not change on a regular basis. It is a system that is comprised of both seniority and experience. This is an industry where there is never a lack of experience, as individuals typically choose to commit to it for a lifetime.
