At this day and age almost everyone owns a phone, computer, or any other piece of technology. There are people who can't live without their phone and freak out the minute they misplace it. During these past couple of years there have many technological advancement that benefit both the economy and society. Yet some people think that these technological advancements are doing just the opposite and ruining the economy and our society. Lets explore the some reasons about why technological advances may harm or benefit us.

There are many ways where advances in technology benefit society. One way that may surprise people , is in the classroom. In "My Classmate the Robot: NY Pupil Attends Remotely ." by Carolyn Thompson, the author is explaining

He points out history shows that higher paying jobs are created by new technology. Since the prices of these technological advancements are out of reach for many, it's mostly used by companies or designers. Lowering the price will make them available to the common people. Kessler gives an example in which a couple of years ago laser printers cast 17,000 dollars, but now cast about 200 dollars. Eventually, he adds, technology will create more jobs like lab assistants and human resource professionals, which must college grads or retrained workers. Creating jobs is just one way that advances in technology benefit our economy. Many people think that technological advancements are actually hurting our society and economy. In the second article by Andy Kessler he shows how some politicians feel that we have to decrease the our use of technology because they are not leaving enough jobs for the people. Kessler points out that former President Obama scored ATMs and airport kiosks in an interview with the "Today Show", in which he blames "structural issues with our economy." Many other politicians feel the same way, saying its the reason for the high unemployment rate. They have to give the new technology some time to prosper because we will need people to make them and show people how to use
