To really think about what education is, it is practically anything we see it to be. It may be formal or home schooling , or learning about learning about the way gangs are run from your uncles. Education is all these things. Growing up I always thought that education was only Math, English, Science, and History. I have learned a lot from my regular K-12 schooling system, but the education I hold close to my heart and will forever cerish are the experiences I learn in life. When I think about all the trials and tribulations I have been through and being able to learn something from it, it is something that I appreciate. "Do we really need school? I am currently a college student and that is providing the means of myself pursuing the Pediatric Nurising career that I plan on achieving. School is good and that is a great education everuyone should be able to recieve. It has helped me with gaining the right experince through voulnteering at clinics and elderly homes. Without school I would not have the fundamentals of learning how to properly take blood pressure or what is considred "normal" while taking vitals in the nurses office. "They said teachers didn't seem to know much about their subjects and clearly weren't interested in learning more." (Gato 33). Someones' attitude toward a certain topic or a tasks, I believe has a lot to do with his/her mentor. If an instructor has no intrest in teaching their subjects why should the students feel like they need to do their best or at least try. I have so much respect for the teachers who actually put in the effort in making sure that every single one of their students is succeeding. I feel like a big part in why education has qualified me to do certain things is because I had a few great teachers through highschool who helped me and really wanted the best for me. Without the attitude of helpful teachers and my experinces that molded me into the person I am today I dont think I would be so motivated to finish my schooling so that I can live my dream in the medical
