The employee was instructed to leave the facility and see her physician as soon as possible and to follow-up regarding the visit. At 11:14am, the employee called back and stated she had chicken pox and was in contact a resident in ALF that had shingles. It was discovered that the employee di d work with the resident on 02/24/2016 and 02/25/2016.It was discovered on February 24, 2016; a resident in Assisted Living did exhibited signs and symptoms of possible shingles. The resident was seen by the Nurse Practitioner, Jody Eblen for a rash with pain, the resident was started treatment with antibiotics on
I am grateful to experience what it is like to have an extraordinary employer. Not many people can say they had the chance to work for someone who is not only a strong leader, but an exceptional mentor. I had the pleasure of working as a Residential Assistance for Mr. Joseph at Florida Memorial University for a year, and I could not have asked for a better experience. His dedication and passion for the students at Florida Memorial University was refreshing and uplifting. In Residential Life, our main focus was the residence’s housing experience; however, Mr. Joseph sincerely cared about each student’s wellbeing and success.
This letter is to describe Emma Schilling and her qualifications as an RA; however, as a current RA, there are so many different factors that make someone an incredible RA. It is a job where the person either is ready for or he or she will be a train wreck at it. Maturity and inclusivity are key components of the job. Not to mention, the person has to like what they are doing or else the job won’t be worth it. Emma is not only mature enough to handle the job, but is inclusive and personable enough that this job will be an amazing fit for her.
I am writing this recommendation letter at the request of Samantha Mercado who is applying for the Resident Assistant position. I was lucky enough to have Samantha as a resident and suitemate this year in Stuyvesant Hall. Over the past semester, I am proud to say that I have seen Samantha grow as a student and find her place at Hofstra University. Samantha is one of the most focused and driven individuals I have ever met.
Home Care Assistant/Aide Heath Care workers help patients that may be physically or mentally ill, injured or disabled. Home care workers can live with the patient, work on weekends or week days. Home Care Assistant are always up on their feet they have tom complete all the hard work the patient cannot do. Home Care Assistant may receive some irritation and disorientation from the patient.
One of the reasons I want to become an Occupational Therapist Assistant is to help people who have been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. Albert Einstein once said “Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” People with Asperger’s syndrome are often misjudged because of their “disabilities.” Symptoms of Aspergers: There are several different symptoms that are shown when a person has Asperger’s Syndrome. Not all people with Asperger’s Syndrome have all of the symptoms, but they do have some.
I shadowed the Assisted Living Manager, Coley Rainbolt. As the assisted living manager, Coley has to complete monthly, quarterly, 6-month, and annual assessments for the assisted living residents on time. She has to schedule and lead care conferences in relation to residents’ needs and family expectations. She updates care plans and arranges all the resident care needs into task specific assignments for care associates. Along with all the residents she provides for, she also manages all assisted living care associates which consists of completing interim and annual evaluations timely and addressing performance concerns.

Internship Most physician assistant programs require anywhere between 500-1,000 hours of shadowing a physician assistant and direct patient contact. Direct patient contact can be considered to be working or volunteering as an EMT, Medical Assistant, Medical Scribe, Nurse, Nursing Assistant, etc. In order to fulfill these requirements, I will be taking a Nursing Assistant course over this summer to receive my certification to begin working towards the hours I will need to apply to a program. Once I am a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), I plan on shadowing physician assistants over the summer from different specialties.
This initial experience was extremely discouraging, and I dreaded holding more programs that residents would not show up for. I had never considered myself bad at interacting with other students, but I now wondered if I wasn’t the right fit for being a resident advisor. However, I refused to give in so early. I knew what a difference residential programs made for students and how its promise helped them withstand the stresses of college. I was committed to ensuring that my programs were a fun space and decided to consult my fellow resident advisors.

Residential Care is care provided for old or sick people or children in a residential faculty. Children in care is also referred to as a looked after child. Resident Assistants serve many purposes and play many roles in the community. They help to build and promote a supportive and active community within their residence hall and across the campus, and offer support and guidance to their residents. This aids in making Geneseo feel more like home and a community rather than simply a school. RAs enforce Geneseo and Department of Student Life rules, while also being a more easily accessible and less intimidating resource to other students in need of help. I want to be an RA so that I can become more involved in the Geneseo community in a positive way, by helping and representing other students.
During my course with NSCC, where I am studying to become a Continuing Care Assistant. Each student is required to work in a continuing care facility alongside other health care providers for a month. I attended skills development placement at Harbour View Lodge located in Sheet Harbour. This placement has given me the opportunity to apply my knowledge, and skills that I have studied and practiced in the classroom. When entering the facility the first week I felt nervous and excited at the same time.
Making a difference I started my health care career as a nursing assistant at the young age of 16 years-old perusing the dream of one day becoming a nurse. At that time, I really had no idea what I was getting myself into and what it meant to be in the health care. I have been able to touch and impact so many different people’s lives throughout the last 6 years from patients and residents to their family members. Sometimes not even realizing that I was changing someone’s life. Although I’ve helped hundreds of people there is one person that will I will always remember.
