My Final Day Of Tracking Social Media

The media diary allowed me to track my media uses for 3 days which revolved mostly around entertainment, communication, and relaxation. I would use these form of media throughout the day where it eventually became a routine to me check my social media apps, browse the internet, and listen to music, etc etc. What I found from my 3 days of tracking was I spent most of my time using my favorite media uses such as my social media apps. I noticed that entertainment heavily revolves around the reasons why I choose to use media for internet, television, and music. Social media apps provided me with entertainment with the average of 2 hours a day. With the typical 2 hours I spend on these apps a day I substituted those hours to another source of entertainment since the last day of tracking my media uses I had to cut out my favorite media uses. I found myself having more free time due to the fact I spent a couple hours a day looking at snapchat, instagram, and facebook. My next highest medium uses is the internet because it provides me with entertainment from web searching funny videos or anything that kept me busy. My uses of internet and social media apps can relate because I often access both of these medias mostly if I was bored or needed to past time. The uses of my television also went up because being on the internet trying to kill some time would eventually get too boring. Television provided me with entertainment, however it also allowed me to relax.
