Am I a leader? The first thought which comes to my mind for this question is what is leadership? My response to that thought is that Leadership is ability to lead others but then I again think to myself is that really what leadership means to me. For the question of being a leader the first response which comes in my mind is no I am not a leader. A person can never call itself a leader. It will be too despot to apply a title of leader to yourself. I am just an individual who has self-belief and faith in my abilities. I am a seer of potential who likes to serve, listen, help and share with others. In understanding who I am becoming and what I love to do makes all the difference in believing that I can be a leader.

It was one of the best experience to understand and listen people, their needs and thoughts and then help them in whatever way I can. I learned to serve people to help them overcome their difficulties and move forward. Doing so helped me in fulfilling my responsibilities as a leader.
Participating in dance competitions in my college gave me opportunity of being part of both winning and losing side. It gave me a different perspective of looking at things. I now realize that even if you lose or fail there is no reason to give up, you still have to get right back up. I try to take the initiative to encourage people to speak up and give ideas to the group and brainstorm to come up with ways that help the group to achieve our goals. In these situations, I use my charismatic leadership qualities to get things going. As Nelson Mandela said " It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership." I truly believe and follow his quote. This develops a faith in the team and your team members start believing in you and give their best to achieve the goals. And when everyone in the team performs with complete enthusiasm and ability there is no way to stop success.
"Success does not come with hard work; it comes with perseverance". This one line has a deep meaning which teaches me never give up. Hard work is not the only key to success. When I see an ant climbing the wall, a toddler trying to walk the only thing I figure out is perseverance. They don't give up until they achieve what they intended or wanted to get. I believe in perseverance as it complies to my character and provides me energy to achieve my goals. Being perseverant also guide others to see you as an example and incorporate these characteristics in
