Where I think I stand in my writing accomplishment is that I feel like there's stuff that I need to improve and learn. I’m still having a tough time on a thesis statement and topic sentence. When I make a thesis statement, it sound like a question. This is my second time taking English 80 and I have improved since the last time. My reading accomplishment it that I have to read something like three times and then read and write and I do best. For reading even if I read like five times i still don’t understand less i write and read. Talking about the book or what we are reading that doesn’t help me either. I am learning disability so it takes me a while to learn something. I have accommodation, but some of them can’t help me in writing. My teacher …show more content…
I know how to make a signal phrase and quotation the correct way. I’m good to run-on and I don’t use dead words. I know how to go to the next point. My weakness is that I have to repeat out loud to hear myself talk. I don’t give enough personal connections and usually I have to take sentences out. I’m having a tough time on fragments and comma splice and I need a transition between ideas. I don’t use a lot of transition words. Before taking these class I didn’t know how to make a paragraph and I have learn so much and with taking English 80 twice I have learned better, but I feel like I’m ready to go forward. When I read about fragments and run-on and how to do a thesis statement I got a little better, but the more I practice the better I accomplishments. I feel that the textbook for the class as help me a lot better to. The reading helps my writing process. My writing process is that I feel better with an outline that way I can write everything on my paper about what I’m going to be talking about. The prewrite help me in that way I know ahead of time of what I’m going to be talking about. The good habits that I would bring to English 90 is that I know how to do a signal phrase and a quotation.
