Research Paper: Nanking Massacre
China is the country that has the biggest population in the world. Their GDP is also World second (Wikipedia). They have a horrific, cruel and ghastly thing happened ever in history, the Nanking Massacre.
It was July 1937, during the World War 2. Japanese easily invaded Beijing and Tianjin and they were full of confidence. Japanese claimed that they could invade all of the China in 3months, but during the war in Shanghai, it took those 3months to invade Shanghai. They didn’t thought that Chinese’s military was this strong, so they just stared to invade the capital of city, Nanking (Nanjing). The biggest problem is Japanese still did not apologized to China. After the Jewish massacre, Germany politicians apologized this to the people, but now Japanese government is trying to hide what happened in Nanking (Nanjing) (Introduction (The Memorial Hall of the victims in Nanjing massacre by Japanese invaders)). Like what Iris Zhang said in the interview, “Still there are abundant sources to prove the Nanking massacre.” All of those photographs, News paper and the book written by Iris Zhang are good sources to prove the Nanking Massacre really happened (Iris Chang on Genocide Education). The Japanese government still refuses all of those sources and they are claiming that it wasn’t a massacre; it was just an incident that happened in China, Nanking (Nanjing). Also the amount of the victim is issue. Some Japanese say there were no even 1 million of victims were in the massacre. These kinds of disrespectful acts are making Chinese hate Japan and this will affect on Japanese economy because Chinese wouldn’t buy products from Japan and Chinese have mast amount of people, so it will decrease greatly on Japanese economy.
