A Prisoner’s Journey Introduction A journey is often more important than the destination you reach; a popular message that is represented in both the films Cool Hand Luke and Shawshank Redemption. Both of these movies focus on the themes of determination and self worth, even while being set in the bleak lives of prisoners in high-security prisons with seemingly no hope. Still, these films create a sense of motivational drive in individuals and have even changed the lives of the people who view them. Furthermore, it is these themes that caused both of the films to gain popularity in average film goers and critics alike, reaching the status of critical acclaim and cementing themselves in the archives of cinematic history.

In the chapter “The Man I Killed” by Tim O’Brien, he writes about his feeling of shame and guilt after he killed a man for the first time. He uses repetition to get his point across. He used it to describe the man’s physical traits, he wrote, “The one eye did a funny twinkling trick red to yellow. His head was wrenched sideways, as if loose at the neck, and the dead young man seemed to be staring at some distant object beyond the bell-shaped flowers along the trail. The blood at the neck had gone to a deep purplish black.
Well last year, we decided to go to the same neighborhood and egg houses again. Little did we know that, the people that stayed on the corner of that neighborhood was patiently waiting on us. Soon as we egged their house, they let their pit-bull out on us. He chased us, and I’m jumping on everybody cars and trash cans outside. When we left the neighborhood, the man and his sons came down the road shooting up in the air.
He would throw scalding pasta sauce at me. So I knew he would catch me soon and do worse things to me. So when he was in the bathroom I went and shot the gun. I don’t know how many times I shot. I just fired.
My horse was with John Peanut waiting to ride. I maneuvered my way to the box. I waited until Harry Hawk entered the stage and was the only one left. After Harry Hawk said a comical line I pulled the trigger a loud explosion echoed through the theater. I did not know if it killed him.
So we get to the bank, and we got in the Ford F-150 ready to scoop us when the job is done. So me and Dream we 're the ones robbing the bank while Tavorus is waiting outside to be on the lookout for anyone,no one gets in or out unless I say so. So me and Dream stumbled in and I act like I was getting a withdraw, but I was trying to get a good look where all the secuirity cameras were so I could spray them out. Then I hear Dream fire the gun then I knew we were in action. I told the cashier she had exactly 3 minutes and 15 seconds to put all the money in the duffle bag, and when the time was up she had all the money in there an extra 5 seconds early.
"The prisoner is escaping!" a soldier yelled. I then began running for my life, I got to a wide open field and ran to the tree line on the right. There was a big pile of brush in the tree line, I ran to it and hid in it. I watched as the Germans walked by and then they realized they lost me.
I didn’t know what to do so I hide behind a bookshelf and found something to throw and I threw it across the room to make him think that I was there he went to where the noise was I quietly, but I hurried up I didn’t want him to catch me, so I tried to find a place to hide and, so I went in to the kitchen and hide in there. I was trying to think of what I could next, and my brain wasn’t thinking fast enough I was trying really hard to think of something then in the corner of my eye I seen a smoke bomb. I then got an idea it was when he walks in here I will through it and then I will kill him.
If I didn’t have my trusty rock I wouldn’t be here to tell you this. I bashed her in the head while running to get water in my water bottle so I stay hydrated while fighting, Next I went to the science room and grabbed chemicals, a knife and a chair. As I was doing that zombies came all around me trying to eat me but I splashed chemicals all over them to make them burn. Walking out of the classroom, I cut a zombies throat without even noticing it.

The summer of 2016 my family and I took a road trip to Colorado. Colorado reminded me a lot of Minnesota but on a big Mountain. There are river valleys that are 1,250 feet deep to mountains that are 14,114 feet high. I climbed a mountain in Glenwood Canyon.
Then, I look in my rear view mirror, and have some good news, and some bad news. Good news, the guy who was trying to kill me was gone! Bad news, I have a cop hot on my tail. I start panicking, and I don’t know what to do. I thought about it, I did what every good person should do.
As time passed, I seemed caught in a rigid routine. When I woke, my crazies made it hard to shower. During the day, I worked as an accountant for two small businesses in town. After work I came home, got high, and sat alone in my house. At night I watched Johnny Carson, and on the weekends, I visited my Aunt Claudia.
