“ Mom can I help set the table? Mom can I track the eggs into the meatloaf? Mom can I squish it all together? ” Feeling more mature and older when she finally gave into letting me helping her prepare dinner, it was always so important to me to help her. It was a battle every night, but I knew that if I kept fighting she would let me help eventually. That’s when I really learned how to fight for something that was important to me. I suppose that’s how Project Buddy has grown to be so strong and important. So I guess you could say that my persistence led to the beginning of Project Buddy. Project Buddy started as just a thought at a leadership program i am involved in, but it turned into so much more than that.
