Every year every November there is a holiday called Thanksgiving that my family always fails to forget. Every Thanksgiving all of my relatives I mean all meet up at my Nana’s house so we can really put time aside to reconnect. Mostly the holiday is fun a lot of times it can be very dramatic and chaotic i’d say mostly chaotic. But still every single Thanksgiving my family meets up at my grandma’s house no matter what went on during the year it is our responsibility to make it to her house for our annual Thanksgiving feast. Sometimes I get to stay up with my mom while everyone else is asleep and help her cook dessert or some kind of dish to bring to the feast. After the food is ready and set up in its place like a buffet the room turns into a battleground for who can get food first but I am lucky and don’t half to enter that. My mom goes to get food for me and my little sisters and we sit wherever we are able to find a seat and none of the family sits together. The day may be a little crazy with a lot of turbulence caused by the cooking and bouncing from one relative to another. But it is a day that I would never want to stop and a tradition I would never want to interrupt. Even though sometimes I question why we still get up at 5:00 AM every thanksgiving but now it is clear to me we do this because we are family. Family will do anything for each other even get up at 5:00 in the morning to get ready and drive 45 minutes (with us an hour) to get to my grandma’s
