Rough Draft World War 2 was one of the most deadly wars in history, with over 6 million Jews and countless Americans losing their lives. I started to wonder; how did such an evil power like the Third Reich and the Nazi Regime get into such a high state of power? After WW1 the Weimar Republic was formed. Taking control of Germany as a “parliamentary democracy”.(Third Reich, An Overview, A). It was as successful as to be expected, with Germany having dictatorship roots like the 1st Reich; known as the Holy Roman Empire. The Second Reich; known as the German Empire with Joseph Stalin at the helm (Dictator during WW1). (Third Reich, Historical Empire, B). These are some of the most powerful dictatorships the world has ever known, but there is one more; the most powerful ever. A man by the name of Adolf Hitler started this uprising, and world power to create a superior German race was his main goal (Victims of the Nazi Era, F). Hitler now showed his true face, an evil dictator with evil plans for his country. Being dictator, he and his people had views and goals they showed to the German nation. He made them believe that to become the most powerful nation in the world they must follow the rules and views of Hitler. He persuaded them that they were superior, but some weren’t. Hitler believed in Anti Semitism, a hostile view of the Jewish and Christian community. We all know what Hitler did to these people, as the largest mass murder or genocide in world history took place.
