Most trade or labor unions were initially formed to bring workers together to petition and receive work environments more favorable to the workers. Their strength lied in numbers as the management was unlikely to fight against the masses. However, these days, many major unions such as the AFL-CIO, today work to create and make available the top benefits for members of a company. Some of this include includes the areas of positive work environments, job security, pay and benefits, and the capacity to go on strike if certain conditions are not met. Meanwhile, larger unions additionally work politically to influence legislation that will continue to create benefits for the companies that are represented along with its employees.

This way, the company is not able to utilize that money for the firm’s growth and new projects and hence it reduces the growth. Also, it effects the hiring process by slowing it down.
Cheerleading could easily become a recognized sport. There will need to be clear definitions, standard rules, safety regulations, competition rules, and judging regulations. When cheerleading becomes a sport then the athletes that compete would achieve higher recognition that they do now and become entitled to full college scholarships. The benefits to making cheerleading a standard sport outweigh the costs. Competitive cheerleaders are required to acquire many skills before they can get chosen for a squad and compete.
Throughout this semester we have read many different time periods. These time periods have been the Middle Ages, Sixteenth Century, Early Seventeenth Century, Eighteenth Century, The Restoration, Romantics, Victorians, Moderns, and The Arthurian Legends. All these different eras of readings had one very important thing in common and that was the treatment of women. The era I will be talking about is the Arthurian Legends because this era is very well known throughout literature and the world today. However, out of all the Arthurian Legends I will be writing about "The Lady of Shalott" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
