Dear School board

Everyone should have an open censorship because it affects our society by opening our perspective. Censorship is a suppression of words, ideas, that are “inappropriate” or offensive. The novel “Night” by Ellie Wiesel is a novel about the times during World War ll following concentration camps with the Nazis, therefore I believe this book shouldn't be banned. Even though some may believe “Night” should be removed due to its “violence” and “sensitive” topic; however this book informs and educates the topic of what really went on during World War ll. This book goes on to tell from Ellis' first point of view in which he describes the tragic events that happened to him. Not only does this book highly educate on the topic during those times, but gives a perfect realistic example on how it affected …show more content…

There are movies and documentaries about what happened during world war ll that describe and show in detail about the horrific things that the Jews had to go through, in which none of those sugarcoat because you just simply can't. The truth is already out there with even more evidence so why ban a book that just educates on a jews point of view in which it was Ellis case in this book. Since this book was written by the same person who experienced what happened to him, there is already enough evidence as it is. The evidence proves how educational the book is and how much you can learn from just by reading Ellis point of view. For example when elli explains seeing those babies burn in the fire or being scared moving from concentration camps reveals how traumatizing it must've been and just shows a glimpse of what happened in those times. For that reason for a person to write his story who went though those times is already enough evidence as it
