Nikola Tesla Research Paper

Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856 in modern day Smiljan, Croatia, and he passed away on January 6, 1943 in New York. Tesla's father, Milutin Tesla, was an Orthodox priest and author, and he encouraged his son to follow in his footsteps. However, Tesla was uninterested in becoming a priest, and he was more interested in the small appliances that his mother invented while he was growing up. In 1863, Tesla’s brother, Dane died while riding a horse. After Dane’s death, Tesla began seeing visions, and although he began to have control over his visions, it is known that he suffered from them throughout his life. In 1901, with the financial backing of JP Morgan and other investors, Tesla created a lab and facility called Wardenclyffe in New York to do research on communication. Tesla had abandoned the project by 1915 because his competitor, Guglielmo Marconi, was making much more progress in the field than he was, and the project had left him bankrupt.

After the failure of his communications project, Tesla became more and more mentally unstable. His ideas for inventions started to become increasingly outlandish. He became so mentally unstable that late in his life, he was known to talk to pigeons in the park. He even cared for the pigeons as if they were human.
