Morgantown,West Virginia; A place filled with a plethora of non-profit organizations,461 to be exact (web:Manta.com). These organizations are all unique in the way they give back to the community. While several of these are churches, many provide vital services to those in need. People all throughout Morgantown and surrounding areas rely on many organizations to get by each day. The organizations in return rely on funding and donations to provide everyday help to those in need. The amount of services provided to the town is a quite large amount. ACS is the leading the fight to end breast cancer but it just doesn 't stop there. The group raises awareness about the disease to help inform the community along Morgantown Community kitchen is one of the most important organizations in Morgantown. Six days a week Trinity Episcopal Church provides a lunch to those who are hungry and in need of food. This ministry feeds a large amount of homeless people and low income families.According to WDTV, the homeless population in Morgantown grew by 30 percent in 2012 and has increased since then. There is help for many problems people face in a variety of these organizations. Mountaineer Boys and Girls club provides help and guidance to children. “In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.”(Web:http://mbgclub.org). This is a very important group because it provides children with a good influence and structure in order to one day become an educated independent adult.Without this organization many children would left alone at home or in the streets. The West Virginia University Adventure WV Program is an educational non profit organization. Adventure WV is an organization that helps the personal growth of students through adventure based experiences. The goal is to increase student success,leadership skills,and social skills. The importance of this organization is not critical but it still has a lasting affect on the students who participate. American Red Cross Blood service is a service provided To fulfill the needs of the American people with very cheap,fast,and reliable blood services.
