NORTH ATLANTIC TREATY ORGANISATION
Currently, there are a lot of international organizations in the world that solve issues in all areas of the sphere of human life; both economic and political. The most acute problems today are the problems of war and peace, disarmament and the resolution of military conflicts. The concern of states about their security led to the creation of military-political organizations. One of which was the organization of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
NATO is a military-political bloc, uniting most of the countries of Europe, the USA and Canada. Founded on April 4, 1949 in the United States, in order to protect Europe from Soviet influence. At that time, 12 countries became NATO member states: USA,

NATO guarantees the protection of the common values of allies - democracy, individual freedom, the rule of law and the peaceful settlement of disputes and promotes the dissemination of these values throughout the Euro-Atlantic area. NATO serves as a forum for joint consultations between the countries of North America and Europe on security issues of common concern, and for joint actions aimed at their solution.
The organization 's goal is to ensure the collective security of its members in the European-Atlantic region, an attack on one of the members of the organization is seen as an attack on the union as a whole. According to the NATO charter, it is open to new members who are able to develop the principles of the treaty and contribute to collective security.
In its activities, NATO is guided by the Strategic Concept of the Alliance adopted by the heads of state and government at the North Atlantic Council session in Washington on April 23-24, 1999. The strategic concept defines the primary tasks of NATO as follows:
