The Nueva family center is a community-based outpatient mental health center that offers programs that specializes in everything for children, adolescents, and young adults no older than 21 years old. The staff is bilingual and bicultural the center is tucked away in the downtown district of Chula Vista; the center serves all with mental health issues and addiction problems. It’s the only mental health center in the area and a staple of the community. During my interview, I recall the staff stated patients and their families feel comfortable and safe at NVFC because they were treated with respect. The center strives for excellence if patients or family members have issues with the staff supervisors take any issue seriously and find effective methods of handling the problem.
Services at the center include family, group, and individual therapy, case management, rehabilitation, crisis intervention, parent support partner services, integrated mental health and substance use treatment.
