Foundations of Nursing Research Assignment 1010
In this paper, I am going to discuss the roles, responsibilities and purpose of three different nursing organizations. The three I have chosen to talk about are, the Florida Student Nurses Association (FNSA), National League for Nursing (NLN), and the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA). These three are unique in their own way, yet all are reaching for the same goal in nursing.

It also provides program for fundamental and current professional interest and concerns. The FNSA is in collaboration with ANA, NLN and other nursing and relate health organizations. The FNSA promotes and encourages participation in community affairs and activities toward improved health care and the resolution of related social issues. They also serve as a channel of communication between the nursing students’ organization and the various state and district units of the graduate professional nurses’ organization. AHNA considers themselves as the voice for holistic nursing, they are trying to educate the public more on holistic health. The AHNA works to bring holistic, complementary and integrative care to all kinds of practice setting. They also offer a variety of services which include research, mind-body-sprit therapies, nutrition counseling and holistic education. The members of the AHNA work in various area in the medical field from hospitals to outpatient clinics, they also have members who are RN’s to business owners.
The American Holistic Nurses Association goals are to increase the awareness of Holistic Nursing and increase Holistic and integrative research. The AHNA also provides ANCC-approved continuing nursing education. You can also earn a certification in holistic nursing and nurse coaching thru the American Holistic Nurses Certification Corporation.
In conclusion, as you can see I identified 3 different nursing association and they all seemed to have a lot in common. The one thing that stood out to me is all 3 of them we all about encouragement, education and providing excellent care to patient.
