Lost Mother, Lost Child Zakariyya is the fifth and youngest of Henrietta's children. After the death of his mother, Baby Joe nearly dies of tuberculosis and soon finds himself in the care of a cousin who loves to abuse him. Zakariyya's anger at this treatment is mythical—kind of like Henrietta's aggressive cells. And it wasn't long before people were making the comparison: Joe grew into the meanest, angriest child any Lacks had ever known, and the family started saying something must have happened to his brain while he was growing inside Henrietta alongside that cancer. (112) Zakariyya believes this too.

The book Clay is a very mysterious book about the unknown and where it leads. In linking with the previous statement about the book,David Almond has conveyed the message of the book through the changes he makes the characters go through. As an example, at the beginning of the book Jordie (the main character) thought what Stephan did “making clay figures” was crazy and he was nothing like him but later on we get to know that they are more of the same person than you would think. Implying that we are not so different to those around us and we might be more similar than you think. Like the message about the book there is another complicated part about the book.
Nemesis is a graphic novel written by Mark Millar. The book attaches to readers and makes them feel as if they are inside the storyline, and it takes them into a world where the line between right and wrong is blurred.
