Finally, the entering the unknown happens. I know this because when he goes to camp half-blood there is the constant threat of danger. Also his strength and courage is tested time and time again. In conclusion, percy’s experiences align with the Hero’s

When Percy gets home, he greets his stepdad, “Smelly Gabe.” At night, when Percy and his mom go on a beach trip, Grover manages to find them again. Imagine discovering that the Greek gods of myths and monsters are real, and you're the son of one. Well that is exactly what happened in the story “Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief” as well as the movie of the same name. Percy was the son of Poseidon. And Percy knew the Greek gods and monsters and fought them. There are many differences in the book and movie however including that in the book Percy lived in his mom’s house while in the movie he had his own place in the woods;
ADHD Assignment Percy was recognized for having ADHD, which means attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. ADHD contains symptoms like being hyper in unnecessary places or acting without thinking. It also contains not being able to concentrate on one thing, which makes it hard to learn. I think this matches Percy Jackson perfectly. Percy Jackson does indeed have ADHD because he doesn't focus, is really hyper, and impulsive.
Im reading percy jackson the lightning theif. This is a book about a normal kid named Percy that is a half blood so he has to go to a camp because he wasn't actually normal. So it starts out as a guy named Percy. He has a tough time at school and at home, at home his step dad
I am reading the book Percy Jackson The Lighting Thief by Rick Riordan. It is a fantasy book with 375 pages. So far, our main characters are Percy Jackson, Sally Jackson, Chiron, also known as Mr. Brunner, Annabeth Chase, and Grover. To start off, Percy Jackson is a troubled 12 year old with ADHD and dyslexia. He is attending a boarding school called Yancy Academy.
In The Lightning Thief , by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson and his friends are in grave danger. In this fantasy novel, Riordan takes you through a story of a 6th grade “Troubled kid,” and his life as a half-blood. Half bloods are demi-gods that are created from a god and a human. Percy is stuck wondering why him? Why does he have to be a half-blood?
Percy Jackson and the lightning thief is about the offspring of poseidon and a mortal, going on a quest with his friends to find Zeus’ missing lightning bolt. The bolt went missing and Percy Jackson is accused of taking it. This is an excellent book that was made into a film. Though the film was good it was very different from the book.
Percy’s sword is a symbol of justice against the forces of evil. It is also a symbol that shows he is the son of Poseidon. In the book it says. His sword is also loyal to him, because no matter what, his sword returns back to him. In the book it says, “I felt my pen return to my pocket, but Antaeus wouldn’t know that.
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, written by Rick Riordan, is about 12 year-old Percy discovering who he was and that his dad is Poseidon; Greek god of the sea. An interesting character in the novel was Grover Underwood. Grover is an interesting character because he is Percy’s protector, he is hard-working, and he is thoughtful. Grover –who is Percy’s best friend and protector– is an important character in the book.
Percy has learned his role throughout the story as he journeys to bring back what was taken from his uncle (Zeus) to keep peace in the world. Some challenges was getting to know that he was son of Poseidon, being attacked by the three furies, and being betrayed by the ones he called a true friend to a King Titan
Throughout “The Lightning Thief” by Rick Riordan, the main character Percy Jackson grows in many ways. Through application of Joseph Campbell’s Hero Cycle, Percy’s development as a leader over the course of “The Lightning Thief” can be analyzed (Campbell). Percy is born into the hero’s cycle at his natural birth and his call to adventure is the attack by Mrs. Dodds. Percy crosses the threshold, when he leaves Montauk with his mother and Grover and the first trial testing his leadership is on the bus with the furies. Trials exemplifying Percy’s growth include: the furies, Medusa, the Saint Louis Arch, the “Waterland” Waterpark, the Lotus Hotel, Crusty’s Waterbed Palace, and Hades and the Underworld.
In the Harry Potter series every character seems like he/she is either good or evil like: Professor Albus Dumbledore and the Order of the Phoenix are the good guys, and that Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters are the bad guys. There are some characters who are controversial like Severus Snape, who you hate throughout 6 books and most of the 7th book until you find out about his past. Harry Potter, first encounter with Severus Snape is in Potion Class and with all the snide comments towards Harry Potter, it looks like Severus Snape does not like. It very difficult to like Snape, he is cruel to all who are not from Slytherin like Neville torturing him throughout his class. Later we learn that Snape know Harry Potter’s parents, he and Harry’s
It’s Percy Jackson’s seventh-grade year at Meriwether Prep and he still hasn’t stopped getting into trouble. The teachers don’t like him, he only has one friend, and monsters never seem to stop chasing him. What is supposed to be a friendly game of dodgeball turns into a deadly match of “which cannibal can kill Percy first?” As it’s the last day of school, Percy and his two friends, Annabeth and Tyson, are forced to return to Camp Half-Blood for the summer to avoid monster attacks. Terrible things have happened at camp since Percy was gone.
Percy Jackson is The Lightning Thief’s version of Homer’s Achilles. In both works, the hero was of half mortal and half immortal decent. Although Percy Jackson’s quest was to prevent a war from occurring between the gods, and Achilles’ mission was to end the Trojan war, in both stores the heroes fight seemingly impossible battles. As a result, both heroes gain honor; Percy is welcomed back to Half-Blood Camp with a standing ovation (page 359) and Achilles is thought of as the best warrior after the Trojan War. Additionally, both heroes are prophesized to be ill-fated due to their status as a
