Fast Food is becoming a immeasurable problem for people in the United States. One of the major issue is obesity. This concern has risen in America rapidly because of the people absorbing more fast food. Fast food has acquired a negative reputation for contributing to the rising of obesity rates around the world, A survey shows more than 31 percent of San Antonians are obese, only a little less than a percentage point behind Memphis for the worst in the country among communities with more than a million people. The average obesity rate for the more than 50 metropolitan areas is nearly 26 percent. The city of San Antonio announced in August that the obesity rate fell from 35.1 percent to 28.5 percent between 2010 and 2012.

Many don’t know the danger of processed foods that they put into their bodies. Processed foods are usually high in sugar and high fructose corn syrup highly processed foods often contain preservatives(chemicals that prevent the food from rotting.), colorants (chemicals that are used to give the food a specific color.), flavor(chemicals that give the food a particular flavor.), and texturants (chemicals that give a particular texture.). Also most of fast food is fried, fried foods aren’t healthy and plays part of health issues and obesity. The pricing of fast food The food is relatively inexpensive which makes it easier to get bigger portions. Fast food has bigger portions for cheaper For example, Wendy’s has a four for four deal which includes nuggets, a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. False Advertisement is everywhere on fast food ads because they look delicious but in reality it looks messy and ugly. Most fast foods use false advertisement to sell their products and it works surprisingly. Therefore, fast food is becoming a huge problem for people in America through all of the evidence fast food is hurting the community.
