Online Political Quiz Analysis

In the online political quiz by Isidewith.com we were tasked to answer thirty-five multiple questions on topics ranging from abortion to spending cuts for the budget. Depending on our responses to the questions we were grouped into “our” political affiliation based on these specific questions. This quiz doesn’t guarantee to be completely accurate, but overall it does a pretty good job. In my case, the quiz was almost spot on describing me as a conservative Republican. While I have always considered myself pretty conservative I found it pretty interesting how it broke the questions up into different categories and shows you how you compare with the political candidates in the last election. The quiz sorted me to agree with most of Mike Pence’s positions on the topics at hand, which I find to be accurate. However, it also showed that I tend to lean more left on some issues as I tend to be more liberal in certain areas. Especially Immigration reform, I do not agree with Trumps stand on immigration, or at least the extremes he tends to take it too. There were many questions in the quiz that became difficult to answer as I had never been asked them in that way before. It is easy sometimes to say you are a Republican or Democrat, but you actually might not agree with your own party’s agenda in certain areas and I think that what is great about politics. The diversity that exists in this country has such a huge impact on people’s views on issues, which leads to no one true, or definite, classification of one’s political affiliation. America is the great melting pot, and so I feel as though our political opinions should also be diverse. If everyone was strictly Republican, or Democrat, the country as a whole would be completely different. Diversity is essential in keeping the growth of the nation’s strength as a whole going in the right
