“Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor, it must be demanded by the oppressed”, Martin Luther King Jr. This statement embodies what I believe freedom means, I believe freedom means the ability to rise up and defend what you believe in. That is so important, to be able to follow what you believe in, you have to be willing to fight for it. If you aren't willing to fight for something, it's probably not that important to you. In 1789 the bill of rights was adopted and that was 226 years ago is still revalent today. Freedom though has to be earned and defended all the time, the courageous men and women in our military actually have to give up their freedom to defend ours. Freedom is a constantly changing thing
