In the depth of World War II there was many jews in hiding. Born in June of 1929 in Frankfurt Germany, Anne Frank is a German-Jewish girl who was forced to go into hiding during the Holocaust over the years of World War II. Anne Frank was in hiding for 2 long years, She was in hiding with her sister, her parents, the Van Pels family, and a man named Fritz Pfeffer. During the time she was in hiding, she wrote in a journal that she got for her 13th birthday. Unfortunately, in August of 1944 after being in hiding for 2 years, their luck finally ran out and was found by the Germans, everyone in hiding including Anne was thrown into concentration camps. When the World War II finally stopped, only one survived the brutality of the concentration camp, Anne Frank's father was the only one who survived. He decided to publish her diary and was later sold all around the world as The Diary of a young Girl. Anne Frank was Optimistic, happy, and very talkative. …show more content…

Germany was hard for the citizens at World War II because people were really poor and some people had to resort to stealing to get money. “Riches, prestige, everything can be lost. But the happiness in your own heart can only be dimmed; it will always be there, as long as you live, to make you happy again” (158 Frank).
