Oreos have been around for a long time. As a kid you wanted to take the cookie, twist it apart, and then dunk it in milk. The two chocolaty sides and creamy center was by the best cookie. Oreos have been around for a long time and have been popular among adults and children. They have grown to become one of the most popular cookies in America. Oreos were first introduced in 1912. Several companies in 1898 had merged to form the company we know now as Nabisco which was the maker of Oreo. Nabisco also created other cookies alone with one we know as animal crackers. In 1975 Nabisco released the double stuff Oreo (Rosenberg). The design of the Oreo has much stated the same since it debuted in 1912. This was too expensive for the Chinese people as this wasn’t their normal spending habit. Lowering the cost of the package of cookies to twenty nine cents and changing the recipe up a little bit to accommodate the Chinese people became a success in which Kraft had perfected (Clements, Jain, & Koellmann, 2013). This allowed the cookie sale to rise and become a positive factor in the food market. In the article “Smart Cookie” they took an American product and tested it out in China. With lacking success there were changes made to the product and price and it became a hit. With Capsim my group can do the same thing when creating a new product or take the existing product we have and make minor adjustments on it. There is always going to need price changes, changes in forecasting due to demand of the product. When we created a new product we started out small to test the waters out. We watch how much our finances have changed and if we need to make an changes to accommodate our products and we also watch what we have with production. By having inventory on hand we are able to see how much we have sold in the year compared to last and can build a forecast on that. We have had success with our first product and will continue to try and make both products success in Team
