To be affectionate, helpful, and sympathetic and display a significant amount of kindness and concern for others is definitely a wonderful trait that runs through humanity. Argument: In the novel, The Fault in our Stars, Hazel Grace Lancaster can be seen as charismatic, and expresses considerable amount of concern for others and is there to help someone who is in need of her assistance. Hazel is very caring especially when it comes to Augustus Waters, her boyfriend as well as her best friend. Augustus has been diagnosed with cancer towards the end of the novel and ever since Hazel found out she has been by his side. Since Hazel is very caring, at 2:30 in the morning she gets a call from Augustus to come and help him at a gas station. This can be seen in the novel when the author states, Evidence: “‘Hazel Grace, I’m at the gas station. Something’s wrong. You gotta help me’...’okay’, I said. ‘ I’m leaving now...Hi, I’m at the Speedway at Eighty-sixth and Ditch, and I need an ambulance. The great love of my life has a malfunctioning G-tube’”, (Green, 242-245).
