The 70s, 80s, and 90s were a big and booming time of an evolution in music and music sound that will never be matched. The vocals and instrumentals in today’s musical industry are unable to be compared to the many sound styles that spread across those 30 years. Overall, there was one genre that shined and grew more than any other during that time that set the grounds for modern heavy music, and one man is most notorious as the founder of the heavy metal sound you hear today, inspiring not only modern metal and rock artists, but surprisingly pop singers, rappers, and the like as well. This man was Ozzy Osbourne. Through his moving, hard rock, metal, and emotionally driven songs, albums, and lyrics, his past or his successes in his solo career, Ozzy Osbourne is widely known as the father of heavy metal. Born in Birmingham, England on December 3, 1948, Osbourne had a rough time, given the family and overall opportunities he had. His mother, Lillian, was a Catholic woman who worked in a factory for most of her life. His father, John Thomas "Jack" Osbourne, worked as a toolmaker in a small electric store.
