From the beginning of the Paleolithic (Old Stone) Age and the evolution of homo species, about 2.6 million years ago, humans have adapted to the environment and climate in many ways becoming more innovative and instinctive as time progressed. Although the first humans had primitive survival skills and lived very different lifestyles compared to recent times, their discoveries were the beginning of innovation and the development of technology. As time progressed and the Neolithic (New Stone) Age began, about 10,000 BC, there remained some continuity in lifestyle of the homo species but there were also many changes in adaption for survival as the world continued to evolve. During the Paleolithic Stone age there were many home species that lived the nomadic lifestyle with various stone tools. Though stone tools were continuously used for survival during the Neolithic Stone age, homo species continued to evolve and became settlers and farmers of land. …show more content…

The earliest homo species of the Paleolithic Age were nomads who traveled in small groups as hunters and gathers. These species had primitive knowledge about the environment compared to those of the Neolithic Age. However, they discovered stone and developed stone tools to carve new tools, hunt animals, and make clothing. The nomads made spears and other tools that improved their hunting skills for wild animals and gathered wild fruits and other plants wherever they could. Because the climate of the Paleolithic age was very cold, food was scarce and they hunted wild animals for most of their food supply and used the furs for clothing. The people of the Paleolithic Age did not settle in one place for long therefore, they would build temporary huts or skin tents out of animal hide, bones, and pieces of wood or live in the mouths of
