Introduction The purpose of this plan is to evaluate the Parent and Youth Mediation Program that is provided by Virginia Services Agency. This agency serves adolescent clients, and their parents, by providing resources, case management and counseling. The Parent and Youth Mediation Program was developed after clinicians observed a reoccurring need from clients. The program aims to reduce conflict and enhance communication between the two parties. It runs for a duration of 10 weeks, and members attend the class once a week.

Clients will take the Parent Adolescent Relationship Questionnaire for the final time and a survey will be presented to see how satisfied clients were with the program. By administering the Parent Adolescent Relationship Questionnaire for a third time, the evaluator can look at the overall growth of the client, as well as if the issues discovered in week six were resolved or managed appropriately. The survey provides different information, allowing for clients to self-reflect on their experience of the program. The information will also allow evaluators to see any trends within the clients accessing the program. By asking the client’s purpose for attending the program, and individual goals, clinicians and the evaluator can see specifically what the clients are looking for and eventually relate it back to the satisfaction survey done at the end.
The next form used will be to document data throughout the program. The data collected at each client contact will be useful for administration purposes (Grinnell et al., 2016). It will allow the evaluator to see how efficiently the program is being run, attendance levels and how they may relate to client satisfaction, as well as what information is being covered and how it relates to the specific program objectives.
