They importance of collaboration and partnership between professionals and families in order to create a comprehensive support system. By including families in decision-making, goal setting, and intervention planning, these approaches aim to increase the effectiveness and sustainability of treatment and education programs. Within studies it has shown that family-centered approaches can lead to improved outcomes for individuals, as they address the unique needs and strengths of each family unit (Hallahan, Pullen, & Kauffman, 2022).

Structural assessments of a family may require an assessment of different aspects within the structure of the family such as internal, external, and context. The purpose of assessing the structure of the family is to understand who is in the family, what connections are present among the family members versus those that are outside of the family, and the context of the family. In the FD2 essays is where I had to do the most adjustments. Overall, I had a good central and sub claim, but I needed to fix my development, analysis, and organization. For the organization the professor said, “Need to connect concept of protesting to central claim.” I try to apply this feedback by trying to explain how the reaction that police has towards protest of blacks and whites is completely different. I explain how when whites protest the police just waited until the whole protest ease down, but when blacks protest police immediately use force and aggression to stop them.

Berkmar High School is one of the most diverse schools in Gwinnett County. Attending Berkmar for almost four years now has allowed me to interact with different students, each with their own unique backgrounds.
ASB has been a core component of my undergraduate experience, because it has not only altered how I view and relate to myself, but also how I view and relate to the world. For the past three years, ASB has had a remarkable way of meeting me in the midst of my brokenness and supplying me with the time and space to put myself back together. My freshman year, I was struggling with feeling alien on our campus. Although I had a large group of friends and had fallen in love with the Vanderbilt community, I still felt like I was somehow not a “true” Vanderbilt student since certain lifestyle choices didn’t align with the campus majority. My first ASB made me realize what walls I had been holding up, and hearing life maps made me feel more connected to the Vanderbilt community as a whole.
