The first feature is collaborative partnerships. FCC emphasizes the importance of building collaborative partnerships between professionals and families. It recognizes that families have unique knowledge and expertise about their child, and professionals value and respect their input (Hallahan, Pullen, & Kauffman, 2022).

Another feature of FCC is s hared decision-making. In FCC, decisions regarding the child's treatment and education are made collaboratively, with input from both professionals and families.
