As you are aware, the Governor’s office appointed the ADC Deputy Director, Jeff Hood, as the Interim Director of ADJC. To cover the roll of ADC Deputy Director during his absence, Greg Lauchner has assumed the duties of that position. In reviewing section 15.2 of the contract; “Probationary employees shall move up one (1) step in the pay grade after six (6) months employment”. Now with many of the transit employees placed in step 1 as a result of them advancing two pay grades. When a new employee is hired and completes six months of employment, they will move up one step this will cause a disparity due to the fact a new employee will advance to the next step while we have senior employees still waiting for their anniversary date for the increase and or on the same step as more senior staff and advancing at the same rate.
