Goal Statement
The goal of this training is to ensure the educators and/or stakeholders on our campus understand the PBIS system and feel competent in taking a vote and/or survey on weather or not it is a good system to implement on our campus.
District/School Background
Our school district consists of three schools: Elementary K-3, Middle school 4-8, and High School 9-12. Our elementary and middle schools have already adopted and are in the implemented process of the PBIS system. We at the high school are now in the exploration phase of PBIS and are deciding whether or not it will be a good program to implement on our campus. This training will focus on the exploration phase of PBIS on our campus.

We will briefly touch on the three tiers of the system: Tier 1 consists of approximately 80% of the population of student body, Tier 2 consists of approximately 15% of the student body, and Tier 3 consists of approximately 5% of the student body. Tier 1 is made up of the majority of the students who go with the flow and abide by the rules that are set for them. Tier 2 are students who sometimes exhibit at-risk behaviors who can be helped by preventative actions. This video also explains how this works school wide. After the video we will explain that Tier 1 is about a classroom and school-wide system for all students that outlines what behaviors are expected and what behaviors are not acceptable. At this time we will open up the topic for discussion. Some expected questions/comments from teacher are: I do not have time to add one more thing to my class.
