Another agency that provided tremendous relief was the Civilian Conservation Corps. The CCC supplied over 2 million young, unmarried men with environmental jobs such as replanting forests, building trails, digging irrigation ditches, and fighting forest fires (Pearson 304). Similar to how the Tennessee Valley Authority supplied jobs to build the power plants and dams shown in Document 4. The men were given shelter, clothing, and food with a wage of about $30 per month. As Stanley Watson describes in Document 3, the CCC offered him wonderful opportunity and allowed him to continue his education and attend college despite his state of financial struggle.
The programs or acts helped people get jobs, insured deposits and protected investors. In document 4, it shows how The Civilian Conservation corps “created jobs for young men in forest areas, conservation and construction of recreation areas.” Alice Timoney states “I do not earn more money but have a greater safety in my position,” she then
“Peace Corps was created to send highly skilled men and women to countries for their urgent needs for skilled manpower”(Kennedy 1) this is saying the men and women were in sent to these countries for their skills to be used . They lived among the people they worked with learning their language eating their food and living a normal day like them. They did not get paid from the American government but they had to help the country they were assigned to.

The Civilian Conservation Corps is a program create for unemployed and unmarried young men aged around seventeen to twenty-five. This program helped them ease the financial difficulties of the families. Civilian Conservation Corps is primarily work on “soil and forest conservation projects” (CAMPBELL, P. 382). The benefit of the program is the U.S. army funded the project and provided them with accommodation which is convenience for people who loosed their home due to the depression. The Civilian Conservation Corps employees received thirty dollars monthly and twenty-five dollars is going back to home to support the daily expenses at home.

VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE A valuable learning experience I gained from this volunteer experience is to encourage women and children that are going through domestic violence and abuse. And also, advice them to step up and speak up. Do not wait till death to ask for help.
This group has also been called the peace corps. The CCC was formed in March of 1933 becoming one of the first New Deal programs. Before Franklin D. Roosevelt was assassinated people wanted to create something that made an impact on not only the people but the environment as well. Through disciplined outdoor labor, this public works project was intended to promote environmental conservation. In the story “The Know-it-all Generation” the author sets the scene in the first person and gives a personal account to prove an underlying issue that the generation may be facing. The generation consists of individuals that ultimately go off into the world with a sense of entitlement, false hope, and a pompous attitude due to constant specious comments made by those around. Meaningless compliments have become requirements for teachers, coaches, parents, and even peers. Being wrong is not an option in this generation. My father immigrated from Guatemala when he was 19 to support his family back home. My mother, from El Salvador while fleeing the revolutionary war. They have worked hard, exceptionally hard, for me not to pursuit my dreams of joining the Peace Corps. This is a I considered filling out an application to join the Peace Corps straight after college but glad I waited. I have gained experience, but more importantly, I have matured mentally and emotionally and I am capable of understanding what it would require of me to leave my family, home, and career for two years and I am ready.
Job Corps was a group of educational and training programs. It was designed to provide young people living in poverty with a chance to have job training, earn a High School Diploma or GED, and find and keep a good job. The Job Corps made it easier for poor people to find a job because more business owners would hire people with an education over people without one. HUD, or Housing and Urban Development operated to provide housing assistance to low income families and individuals. It also bans housing discrimination based on sex, race, nationality, and religion.
