I run the REPL; Clojure outputs another error message. I stare at the blinking cursor, on the brink of defeat. But there’s an appetite for contentment that keeps me motivated. It’s a feeling of intellectual satisfaction for converting a concept into a functioning program. This gratification pushes me further into the depths of the technological world. I’m constantly expanding my knowledge of computers, whether it is hardware or software. But the realm of technology is exponentially growing, making it challenging to stay informed.
Through its research facilities, curriculum, interdisciplinary opportunities, and diverse student body, Penn Engineering provides endless opportunities to stay knowledgeable in the dynamic field of computer science.

Through researching, I would be able to comprehensively study my intellectual endeavors. The relationship between hardware and software has always interested me. Today, technology is advancing towards parallel processing, a form of computation that divides a function and delegates the tasks to multiple cores. Professor Devietti works on making hardware and software more efficient by employing methods of parallel processing. By researching under Professor Devietti, I would learn to work independently and collaboratively. Penn Engineering research would inspire me further my passions and prepare me for the professional world.
The extensive curriculum at Penn Engineering would help build a secure foundation in computer science. A comprehensive understanding in both software and hardware would be attained through the hands-on experiences. At the same time, project-based courses would enable me to explore branches of computer science including theory, digital media design, and programming. The freedom of electives would stir my creativity by letting me to study other disciplines such as cognitive psychology, physics, economics, and
